Suntem biserica română penticostală "Sare și Lumină", parte din districtul românesc al Church of God Texas.
Scopul nostru este de a servi comunitatea română în creștere din Austin, Texas și din împrejurimi. Ne bucurăm de asemenea de vizite din partea grupurilor de laudă și în general ale fraților din alte biserici din Texas (San Antonio, Waco, Dallas și altele).
Dacă vă aflați prin zona Austin, chiar dacă nu sunteți de aici, vă așteptăm cu drag pe la noi!

We are the Salt and Light Church of God, a Romanian Pentecostal church which is part of the Romanian District of Church of God Texas.
Our aim is to serve the growing Romanian community in and around Austin, TX. We also enjoy visits from worship groups and fellow Christians from other Romanian churches in Texas (such as San Antonio, Waco, Dallas, and others).

Declaration of Faith
We believe the whole Bible to be completely and equally inspired, that it is the written Word of God, and the authoritative souce of truth for teaching, doctrine, and guidance in every life aspect and matter of practicing faith.
In particular, we believe:
- In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.
The Bible's words, down to every letter, are "God-breathed" (inspired by God), making the entire text fully and authoritatively the Word of God. While human authors retained their unique styles and personalities, the Holy Spirit superintended the selection of their words to ensure their writings were accurate and free from error of fact, doctrine, or judgment. The inspiration is plenary, meaning it applies equally to the entirety of the Bible, and not just to selective passages.
(references: 2nd Timothy 3:16-17; Matthew 5:18; 2nd Peter 1:19-21; 2nd Peter 3:15-16; 2nd Timothy 1:13) - In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The persons of the Trinity are neither three gods, nor one person manifesting in three different modes. They are three distinct persons, together eternally united as one God, sharing the same divine nature but having different roles. (references: Matthew 28:19; 2nd Corinthians 13:14; 1st John 5:7) - That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.
(references: Matthew 1.18-25; Luke 1:26-35; Luke 23.24-46; Matthew 28.5,6,18-20; 1st Peter 3.22) - That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
(references: Romans 3.23; Acts 3.19; 2nd Peter 3.9) - That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
His sacrifice, culminating in death by crucifixion, provided "payment" found worthy before God for the redemption of our sins.
(references: John 1:29; Romans 3:10-24; Ephesians 2:8-9) - In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Spirit.
(references: John 1:12; John 3:4-7; Galatians 3:26; 1st John 1:11-13) - Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.
(references: Romans 6.2; 1st Peter 4.1-2; Galatians 5.24) - In the baptism with the Holy Spirit subsequent to a clean heart.
The promise of receiving the Holy Spirit was not only for the apostles, nor for a limited time, but for all who ask for this in prayer with faith, from the time of Acts until the return of Jesus Christ as Lord.
(references: Acts 2.38-39; Joel 2.28,29) - In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
This sign is both a testimony for all to hear, and a means to strenghen one's faith. The sign of speaking with other tongues is for every believer baptized with the Holy Spirit, and is not to be confused with the gift of speaking with other tongues (one of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit, only given to some believers, with the purpose of strengthening the church, and similar to prophecy in manifestation).
(references: Acts 2.4-11; Acts 10.44-46; Acts 19.6; 1st Corinthians 14.2,22) - In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
(references: Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16, Colossians 2:12) - Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
Healing extends to a person's spirit, soul, and body, and was manifested many times, both when Jesus was walking the Earth, as well as after His ascension, through the works of the Holy Spirit.
(references: James 5.16; 1st Peter 2.24) - In the Lord's Supper and washing of the saints' feet.
(references: Luke 22.17-20; John 13.3-17; 1st Corinthians 11.23-26) - In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
(references: Phillipians 3:20-21; Revelation 19:11; Revelation 20:3; 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18; James 5:8; Daniel 9:24) - In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.

Mărturisirea de Credință
Credem că întreaga Biblie este inspirată complet și în mod egal, că este Cuvântul scris al lui Dumnezeu și sursa autoritară a adevărului despre învățătură, doctrină și călăuzire în fiecare aspect duhovnicesc și practic al vieții.
În detaliu, credem:
- În inspirația verbală a Bibliei.
Cuvintele Bibliei, până la nivel de literă, sunt inspirate de Dumnezeu, ceea ce face ca întregul text să fie pe deplin Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu cu autoritate. În timp ce autorii umani și-au păstrat stilurile și personalitățile unice, Duhul Sfânt a supravegheat selecția cuvintelor lor pentru a se asigura că scrierile lor au fost exacte și lipsite de erori de fapt, de doctrină sau de judecată. Inspirația este plenară, adică se aplică în mod egal întregii Biblii și nu doar unor pasaje selective.
(referințe: 2 Timotei 3:16-17; Matei 5:18; 2 Petru 1:19-21; 2 Petru 3:15-16; 2 Timotei 1:13) - Într-un singur Dumnezeu care există veșnic în trei persoane; și anume, Tatăl, Fiul și Duhul Sfânt.
Persoanele Treimii nu sunt nici trei dumnezei, nici o singură persoană care se manifestă în trei moduri diferite. Sunt trei persoane distincte, unite veșnic într-un singur Dumnezeu, împărtășind aceeași natură divină, dar având roluri diferite. (referințe: Matei 28:19; 2 Corinteni 13:14; 1 Ioan 5:7) - Că Isus Hristos este singurul Fiu născut al Tatălui, conceput prin Duhul Sfânt și născut din Fecioara Maria. Că Isus a fost răstignit, îngropat și înviat din morți. Că S-a înălțat la cer și astăzi este la dreapta Tatălui ca Mijlocitor.
(referințe: Matei 1.18-25; Luca 1:26-35; Luca 23.24-46; Matei 28.5,6,18-20; 1 Petru 3.22) - Că toți au păcătuit și sunt lipsiți de slava lui Dumnezeu și că pocăința este poruncită de Dumnezeu pentru toți și necesară pentru iertarea păcatelor.
(referințe: Romani 3.23; Faptele Apostolilor 3.19; 2 Petru 3.9) - Că îndreptățirea, regenerarea și nașterea din nou sunt realizate prin credința în sângele lui Isus Hristos.
Jertfa Sa, culminând cu moartea prin răstignire, a oferit o „plată” găsită vrednică înaintea lui Dumnezeu pentru răscumpărarea păcatelelor noastre.
(referințe: Ioan 1:29; Romani 3:10-24; Efeseni 2:8-9) - În sfințirea după nașterea din nou, prin credința în sângele lui Hristos; prin Cuvânt și prin Duhul Sfânt.
(referințe: Ioan 1:12; Ioan 3:4-7; Galateni 3:26; 1 Ioan 1:11-13) - Că sfințenia este standardul de viață al lui Dumnezeu pentru poporul Său.
(referințe: Romani 6:2; 1 Petru 4:1-2; Galateni 5:24) - În botezul cu Duhul Sfânt, dat în urma curățirii inimii.
Promisiunea Duhului Sfânt nu a fost doar pentru apostoli, nici pentru o perioadă limitată, ci pentru toți cei care Îl cer în rugăciune, cu credință; începând din vremea Faptelor Apostolilor și până la revenirea lui Isus Hristos ca Domn.
(referințe: Fapte 2:38-39; Ioel 2:28,29) - În vorbirea în alte limbi după cum Duhul dă cuvinte și că aceasta este dovada inițială a botezului cu Duhul Sfânt.
Acest semn este atât o mărturie pe care toți o pot auzi, cât și un mijloc de a întări credința personală. Semnul vorbirii în alte limbi este pentru fiecare credincios botezat cu Duhul Sfânt și nu trebuie confundat cu darul vorbirii în alte limbi (unul dintre cele nouă daruri ale Duhului Sfânt, dat doar unor credincioși, cu scopul de a întări biserica și similar în manifestare cu darul de proorocie).
(referințe: Faptele Apostolilor 2.4-11; Faptele Apostolilor 10.44-46; Faptele Apostolilor 19.6; 1 Corinteni 14.2,22) - În botezul prin scufundarea în apă, și că toți cei care se pocăiesc trebuie să fie botezați în numele Tatălui, al Fiului și al Sfântului Duh.
(referințe: Matei 28:19; Marcu 16:16, Coloseni 2:12) - Că vindecarea divină este oferită pentru toți cei ce sunt în ispășire.
Vindecarea se extinde la duhul, sufletul și trupul persoanei și a fost săvârșită de multe ori, atât când Isus umbla pe Pământ, cât și prin lucrarea Duhului Sfânt după înălțarea Lui la cer.
(referințe: Iacov 5.16; 1 Petru 2.24) - În Cina Domnului și în spălarea picioarelor sfinților.
(referințe: Luca 22.17-20; Ioan 13.3-17; 1 Corinteni 11.23-26) - În a doua venire premilenară a lui Isus. În primul rând, să învie pe sfinții morți și să răpească în văzduh la El pe sfinții vii. Într-al al doilea rând, să domnească pe pământ o mie de ani.

It was authored by Pastor Dr Nelu Brie, president of the Romanian Pentecostal Theological Seminary (ITPB), and Pastor Dr Ciprian Terinte, Dean of the Faculty of Pentecostal Theology at ITPB.
The manual was published in 2014 by ITPB's Plērōma Publishing House. It is currently out of print, and made available here online with the author's permission.

He was personally taken through an out-of-body rapture, not unlike Apostle Paul describes in 2nd Corinthians, and commanded to spread the details of the things he was shown while there.
